Within the scope of combating COVID19 pandemic, the distance education programme started to be implemented in Turkey in March 16, 2020. In line with the online education, lessons and assignments are given on websites or applications and students need computers or laptops for online access. In this process, students who do not have access to the internet fall behind in the class, and some even suspend study.
By launching the “Support Education with A Computer” project in cooperation with the Needs Map, TOG – Community Volunteers Foundation and Association for Supporting Contemporary Life, we contribute to the bright future of young people by not allowing technology to increase inequality. The project aims to identify the computer needs of elementary and university students who have formal education and to meet them with the people who want to support. Through the project, a total of 8000 computer needs of students including primary school students and university students are met.
