We came together for those who lost their homes, jobs, schools and livelihoods as a result of fires. With the “Let’s Extinguish Forest Fires in Turkey Together” project, we supported and restored living conditions and provide livelihoods of the people in need. Although it is impossible to prevent disasters from occurring, it is possible with the solidarity to mitigate the effects and to reduce its damage. Enforcement of supports / aids by increasing the numbers of materials collected from people or provided by public institutions, organizations or corporations will be main sustenances for the disaster victims. 

The project supported both the people in need and the local economy via Social Marketplace allowing to meet vulnerable families’ basic needs materials from local businesses which are both adversely affected by the wildfires in Turkey. Through the supports, Ihtiyac Haritası’s Social Market Place program aim to supply back the primary needs of people who got effected by the fires so that they can return back their normal lives sooner. The grant budget was used within the scope of the following activities:

Activity 1: To identify the regions affected by fires via map-based online forms

Activity 2: To specify people and local businesses affected by fires and their needs
